What I packed…

One of the biggest questions that people have when traveling is what to pack. There are plenty of lists out there on suggestions of what to take on an international trip, but here is a list and pictures of what I am bringing to Brazil in my purse, my suitcase, and my carry-on bag.

In my purse:

  • Passport
  • Wallet – MN license, Augie ID, a few dollars cash, my debit card, my credit card, my eyeglasses prescription
  • 5 magazines
  • 2 books
  • My kindle
  • A stress ball
  • Homeopathic “calm” drops
  • Some pens
  • My camera
  • Tampons
  • Headphones
  • Band-aids

In my suitcase:

  • 7 pairs of underwear
  • 4 pairs of spandex
  • 3 sports bras
  • 2 regular bras
  • 2 pairs of socks
  • 1 pair of dress sandals
  • 1 pair of jeans
  • 1 belt
  • Tampons
  • 1 pair lounge/pajama pants
  • 1 camisole (for sleeping)
  • 2 sweaters – 1 black, 1 cream
  • Toiletry bag: shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, TONS of tampons
  • 2 swimsuit tops
  • 3 nice shirts – 1 black, 1 white, one blue
  • 3 dresses – 1 green, 1 teal, 1 berry
  • 2 T-shirts for my host family
  • 4 casual shirts for myself – 1 t-shirt, 3 tanks
  • Art pack for class
  • Pencil case with goodies for kids we see
  • 2 pairs shorts – 1 black, 1 khaki
  • 1 pair Nike shorts
  • 2 skirts
  • First aid bag: band aids, tape, OTCs (Tylenol, sleep aid, Pepto, Zyrtec, benadryl)
