  1. Sunshine! Hope you have one rock awesome trip!!!!!!

P.S. I love your packing by the numbers. 🙂

  2. Kaj and I woke up at 3:00 am to take Katrina to O’Hare. All went well and we arrived and had tickets by 8:30 am. The flight was to board at 10:20. There was nothing to do and no restaurants to sit in, so we reluctantly let Katrina go through the security gates, all three of us in tears. Katrina said “Mom, you raised your daughter well.” Mixed emotions of anxiety and pride as our daughter walked with confidence to her adventure.
We got back home about 1:30 pm and Jared and I tracked Katrina’s plane on-line. Watching her go over Canada and Alaska, and now she is over the ocean headed to Tokyo. It was comforting to know that they stayed over land for most of the flight. I’m sure she slept through most of that.

  3. Hi Katrina!

I’m thinking about you! I hope that your flight has gone smoothly. I’m proud of you for only the 6 pairs of shoes…that seems like a big step and I can already tell this trip is going to have a lasting impact on you.

Good idea about the crayons. Those are absolutely a packing essential.
