The worldwide Augustana College experience

Hi! My name is Greg Maggio, and I am a junior year at Augustana. I am a pre-medicine and biology double major with a minor in Spanish, and possibly a Latin American Studies minor. Outside the classroom, I am a member of the Augustana soccer team, Gamma Alpha Beta, Order of Omega, Augustana Admissions Ambassadors, and was on Greek Council last year. Join me this fall as I head to Ecuador, Peru, and Mexico to learn about the lifestyle and culture of the “other” Americas while exploring amazing places like Machu Picchu, Cuernavaca and the Amazon!

After getting about 4 hours of sleep on Tuesday (2 more than I expected) most of Wednesday was spent in airports and on the planes.  We arrived in Quito´s international airport at […]

Last Minute Thoughts

So today is my last day in the U.S. before I leave for my journey across the western hemisphere and there has been a lot of excitement mixed with a little anxiety over the past few days.  After spending a weekend trying to finish all of my pre-trip assignments (that took much longer than I […]
