A window inside life at Augustana College

Finals week means fall break is near!

You won’t find a single person on Augie’s campus, or any campus for that matter, that likes finals week.  The only positive aspect of getting limited sleep, staring at your computer screen for hours, living in the library, and not having a social life is the fact that fall break is just around the corner!  We’re one of the few colleges that has finals in November and then a week off.  Finals at Augie last 4 days.  So if you can make it through those 4 (or less depending on when your finals are) days you are home free!  I had an 8-10  page final paper for my learning community due yesterday along with a presentation for my learning community.  And today at 9a.m. I had my only written exam of finals week for Media Theory III.  Let me tell you, I feel so relieved.  Now the only thing standing in front of me and a week of glorious fall break is a paper for my issues in broadcasting class.  It’s already about halfway done!

Here’s a list of what I’m looking forward to over fall break:

  • No homework!!!!!
  • Catching up on sleep
  • Visiting my friend at Monmouth College
  • Taking a shopping trip with  my mom
  • Being stress-free
  • Skyping with my friend from Sweden (hopefully!)
  • Spending time with family 🙂
  • Being greeted by my dog every morning

Here are a few things I’m not really looking forward to, but they must get done:

  • writing my resume
  • applying for an internship

Well, I must finish my paper.  So I’ll leave you with a picture of my dog, Sophie 🙂

Until next time,
