A window inside life at Augustana College

Is it really already week 10?

First term literally flew by. I can’t believe it’s basically over. Overall, it was pretty good. I didn’t really feel overwhelmed or stressed and I feel like I did good. Plus…I only have one final 🙂

What I’m really looking forward to is next term. I’m finally taking a class that I want to take (not lsfy or art or Greek (yeah, I wanted to take it over the summer..now I feel really differently about it. But, I’ve already invested 10 weeks into it so I’ll just tough it out.)). My schedule is more loaded then this term but I think I’ll manage. I’m taking LSFY Religion to Reason, Greek, 3D Art, and Advertising Influence. I’m hoping the fact that I now start classes at 8:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays won’t kill me. Right now, my T/TH’s start at 12:30 and I have to drag myself out of bed for that.

Other then that, I’m hosting a pair of prospective students this Friday for Discover Augustana. Last year I visited Augie through the program and that kinda of tipped the scale in favor of Augie. I love that Augie offers kids a chance to spend the night and actually get a feel for what a typical day/night is like. A basic tour and explanation of what usually happens doesn’t cut it when it comes to such a critical decision. I hope it all goes well.

P.S. The slough looks absolutely breathtaking around this time…minus the goo that just sits on top. I’m sort of in love. My roommate and I spent a good 45 minutes today just sitting, talking, and looking at the ducks after we went to the c-store.
