Wartburg Seminary Conference on Ministry

Junior Dana Swanson and CVR Program Associate, Christie Anderson, spent March 14-16 at the Wartburg Seminary Considering Your Call Conference on Ministry. The weekend included a series of call story presentations, tours of campus and Dubuque, conversation with admissions, students, and other prospective students, and class visits. The result was a good picture of life at seminary, friendships with other people on the journey of discernment and bits of wisdom about this journey. Dana found the value in the experience as it answered questions about a world she "didn't know existed." Christie found conversations on our story as a part of the larger Story of God to be intriguing, coming away with nuggets of new understanding about our "call parables" that recognize God's ability to work through our stories for deeper understanding of who God is for ourselves and others. This visit is part of the Center's ongoing work to accompany students as they discern a call to ministry.
